About Us

For the past 22 years I have been the nanny for children of many different ages. For the past nine years I have been the nanny for two little girls. They are currently ten and thirteen. During that time I have had three boys and a little girl of my own. My children are 7, 5, 2 ½, and 7 months. I have had many experiences of traveling with young children. When my second son was three months old my husband and I took all four children to Hawaii. We needed a toddler bed so we called Dorkels Rentals. They sent us to their website at www.dorkelsrental.com and we found tons of great stuff. We rented a toddler bed, a basket of toys that all the kids played with, beach chairs and an umbrella, beach toys, and a cooler. Having these things made our vacation so much easier.

When I got back home I thought about starting a baby and children’s equipment rental company in Albuquerque. I felt that there was a great need for this service. Several months went by and I hadn’t done anything with the idea. My husband and I took all four children to Idaho to visit some friends. We flew into Salt Lake City and were going to drive to Idaho Falls. I had reserved two car seats through the rental car company. I called the night before our arrival to confirm but I still found myself standing in the Salt Lake City Airport with no car seat for my baby. They explained to me that a request for a car seat is just a request and not a reservation. My husband had to drive to the nearest store to purchase a car seat. If I had been traveling alone I would have been stuck in the airport with no options.

As soon as I arrived back in Albuquerque I began to take the steps to open up Travelin’ Tots Rentals, LLC. I wanted to be able to provide items to make families with small children comfortable when they come to New Mexico. Any item that you reserve through us is set aside just for you. You don’t have to worry about arriving in New Mexico and not having the things that you need to keep your child safe and comfortable.

As I began to take steps to open Travelin’ Tots Rentals I wanted to add as many personal touches as possible. While raising my children I do my best to try and minimize the carbon footprint that we leave while attachment parenting my children as much as possible. That is why at Travelin’ Tots Rentals we always use laundry detergents that are free and clear of any perfumes and dyes and cleaners that are not harsh on your children or our equipment. We also offer many products that other baby equipment rental companies don’t offer such as the Amby Baby Hammock, the Arms Reach Co-Sleeper and Mini Co-Sleeper, slings and wraps, the Ergo Baby Carrier, and a few elimination communication supplies such as the Baby Bjorn Little Potty and a potty bowl. We hope that these things set us apart from the competition by giving you a variety of options. If there is an item that you don’t see listed please ask and we will do our best to obtain it for you.
